PRESS RELEASE - September 14, 2015 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
emsCharts ePCR Achieves NEMSIS Version 3 Compliance
Suite of clinical documentation products is compliant with v3.3.4 national standard for collection of data

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - September 14, 2015 - emsCharts, a leading provider of clinical charting solutions for the emergency medical industry, is pleased to announce that their suite of Electronic Patient Care Report (ePCR) data collection products has been designated Version 3.3.4 compliant by the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS) Technical Assistance Center (TAC).

The emsCharts patient data collection system was evaluated by NEMSIS TAC through weeks of rigorous testing and has been designated as Version 3.3.4 compliant for meeting all requirements. The NEMSIS TAC recognizes that the NEMSIS v3 compliance process is stringent and requires much dedicated time and resource allocation to complete.

"Through our commitment to customer satisfaction and compliance, emsCharts continues to offer the most comprehensive and flexible data set to EMS providers," says Pete Goutmann, President and Chief Technology Officer of emsCharts. "We are proud to provide our customers with the most robust and versatile product line that adheres to national standards and is now nationally compliant as NEMSIS v3.3.4 for data collection. With the emsCharts configuration system, data collection is now fully customizable at the local, state and national level - all focused on customers' needs."

As a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) web-based application, emsCharts customers do not require an upgrade or new version of the software in order to submit NEMSIS v3 data. Once a state or region is able to receive a NEMSIS v3 data submission, emsCharts customers will simply perform a few configuration changes to enable the new NEMSIS v3 fields and begin submitting v3.3.4 data.

"We are very pleased to support the NEMSIS project's goals and objectives by becoming a v3.3.4 compliant software application," states Goutmann. "The centralization of data is critical for data analysis and the improvement of patient outcomes, which is the ultimate goal."

emsCharts helped to pioneer real-time and electronic data collection with the use of the Web to connect first responders with hospitals and reporting agencies. This expedited the entire process and left clinicians with more time to focus on patients' needs. emsCharts offers mobile, offline, and iPad versions of their web product.
